Description
FFKR Architects is currently considering Intermediate interior design candidates with a
strong background in commercial interior architecture for immediate and future hiring
needs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform interior design assignments including conceptual design, schematic design, design development & the preparation of construction documents
- Work within architectural and interior design teams to deliver an integrated interior architectural design
- Provide design support for completion and execution of design projects
- Develop space planning concepts
- Generate program documents
- Participate in selection of FF&E color palettes, graphic and material presentations, and generate specifications
Requirements:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Interior Design from accredited school
- 3 years minimum of relevant design experience in interiors; previous experience in an architecture firm is a plus
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, 3‐D programs, SketchUp and other modeling software programs
- Proficient in Creative Adobe Suite applications specifically Illustrator
- Familiarity with architectural material application
- On track to obtaining NCIDQ certification
- Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials and specifications
- Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
- LEED accreditation is a plus

Senior Interior Designer
Description: FFKR Architects is currently considering senior interior design candidates with a strong
background in commercial interior architecture for immediate and future hiring needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead interior design teams on projects
- Collaborate on commercial interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, and management of budgets and schedules
- Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents
- Participate in selection of furniture systems and specifications
- Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
- Work with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
- Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs
- Participate in business development and marketing efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Interior Design from accredited school
- 5+ years of relevant design experience in interiors, with a focus on commercial interiors. Previous experience in an architecture firm is a plus.
- Computer skills to include AutoCAD, and Revit as well as knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp.
- Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials
- Outstanding graphic presentation skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
- Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
- Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
- NCIDQ certificate holder
- LEED Accreditation is a plus
